Mentora exists because the years between 12 and 18 decide a player's pathway, and nobody's job is the player themselves. Coaches develop the game. Parents hold the home. We built the third voice: a mentor a few steps ahead on the same road, with everything documented and every month reported back to the family.
We're not a marketplace and we're not an agency. We're two players who needed this and couldn't find it, so we built it properly: screened mentors, hard boundaries, and a written record of everything.
Lewis was born in London and came through the Aston Villa academy before signing a professional contract at MK Dons. His path then crossed the Atlantic: three American college programs, a rebuilt career, and a firsthand education in exactly how confusing the pathway is from the inside. He's now a D1 player at Hofstra University, where he studies political science. Lewis builds Mentora's platform: the portals, the session cycle, and the measurement system, end to end.
Luke grew up in Virginia and is a graduate-student fullback at Wake Forest. He came to Mentora because he knows what the pathway demands from the inside — the pressure of selection, the weight of the college decision, the parts of the game that coaches don't have time or room to address. Luke leads club partnerships and family relationships at Mentora: the conversations that bring the right programs in and make sure families are properly supported throughout.
Everything we ask families to trust is written down. Mentors are current D1 athletes, screened before matching and trained on hard boundaries: they guide, they never act as therapists, and a welfare concern is never kept from parents. Every session is documented, every month is reported, and our full measurement methodology is public.
