For current D1 athletes

You already lived the pathway. Now get paid to guide it.

Mentora pairs youth soccer players aged 12 to 18 with current D1 athletes for structured one-to-one mentorship. The work is real, the standards are high, and we say no a lot.

Who we look for

Current D1 athletes who remember what 14 felt like. You came through club soccer, you navigated recruitment recently enough that your knowledge is current, and you can hold a commitment: same player, every week, across a 12-week cycle. Playing level gets you considered. Reliability and character get you matched.

What the work actually is
A weekly one-to-one

You mentor the same player on a set cadence. Before each session you get a structured brief built from the player's check-in, so you always know where they are.

Notes after every session

What you covered, what the player committed to, what to watch next time. Filed the same day, every time. If it isn't on the platform, it didn't happen.

Hard boundaries, in writing

You are a mentor. You are not a therapist, an agent, or a replacement for their coaches. Anything touching a player's welfare goes to their parents promptly. You'll be trained on exactly where the lines are before your first session.

A monthly report to the family

Your documented sessions feed a written report parents receive every month. Your consistency is visible, which is exactly why the work carries weight.

What you get

Paid per completed, documented session. A mentoring record most applications can't show: leadership with minors, in a structured program, with written evidence of the outcomes. And the thing nobody advertises: the person who guided you probably changed your pathway. Being that person is its own reason.

The bar

Every mentor is screened before matching, including a background check. You complete our boundary and safeguarding training before your first session. Your sessions run on our platform with a written record, and parents see everything. If that level of structure sounds like too much, this isn't the right fit, and that's the point.

A note on eligibility

You're a current athlete, so we treat your eligibility with the same care we treat our players' safety. Mentoring with Mentora is paid outside work in the NIL era; we'll support you in clearing it with your school's compliance office before your first paid session.
