Partner brief · Tutoring practices

A two-way referral partnership.

You fix the grades. We build the student who keeps them.

Every tutoring practice has them: the student whose problem isn't the material. They miss sessions, skip the homework, fold after one bad test — and when the grade doesn't move, the family churns and your results take the blame. Mentora pairs those students with vetted college-athlete and near-peer mentors who build the habits underneath the academics — structured weekly sessions, documented for parents monthly.

Ages 12–14

High School Ready

A 12-month program for the middle-school-to-high-school jump: time ownership, resilience after setbacks, self-knowledge, composure under pressure, and confidence in new rooms.

Ages 15–18

College Ready

The layer under your academic work: a student who plans their own week, does the reps between sessions, and shows up ready — which is where your results actually come from.

Why tutoring practices partner with Mentora
01

It solves your churn problem

The families who quit tutoring rarely quit because of teaching quality — they quit because the student won't engage. That's our problem to fix, and fixing it keeps them your client.

02

Referrals flow both ways

We don't teach subjects — ever. When our families need academic help, they ask us who to trust. Partners are the answer we give.

03

Your outcomes get sharper

A student who keeps commitments to a mentor keeps commitments to a tutor. Better engagement, better results, better reviews of your practice.

How the partnership works
Step 1 · 20 minutes

Intro call. We walk you through the program, the mentor vetting standard, and where the academic/development line sits.

Step 2 · Warm referral

You introduce, we onboard. A simple three-way email for the families you're about to lose or can't fully help. We match a mentor within one week.

Step 3 · Reciprocity

We send families back. Our families' academic needs route to partner practices first — and with consent, you see the monthly report on shared students.

Safeguarding is the foundation, not a feature. Every mentor is identity-verified and vetted, every session is logged, and mentors are trained on bright-line escalation — they mentor, they never counsel or treat. Concerns route to a designated safeguarding lead immediately.
